The Spiking Viking was born in November of 1999. It was a Monday night game vs. Green Bay and the birthday of the purple and gold mohawk. It just happens that Cuervo Nation was doing a "crazy fan" contest that night. The Spiking Viking won the contest and went to the Superbowl in Atlanta. That kind of luck doesn't come around but once in a lifetime. It is an experience that he'll never forget.

With all that happening the first day of The Spiking Viking's life, he thought he may be on to something. Why can't Halloween be every Sunday? The wildness that was too shy to show itself was unleashed. Since then he has undergone several changes to his wardrobe. He has been seen on television, websites, and in newspapers. The Spiking Viking was also honored as the 2002 Hall of Fame fan. A plaque was placed in Canton, OH (pics here).

Look for The Spiking Viking tailgating in the Washington Avenue parking lots before each home game. If you can't see or hear him, you must be dead!

ARE YOU IN LOVE WITH YOURSELF?
-Yes! Seriously no, but I like the attention and enjoy dressing up and showing off.

HOW DO YOU GET YOUR HAIR DO THAT?
-Aussie Instant Freeze hair spray and a blow dryer does the trick. You hold up a spike, spray it, then blow dry it. The heat turns it hard and there you have it.

CAN I TOUCH IT?
-If you want to touch my hair ask first. If you want to touch anything else, ask first.

ARE YOU SINGLE?
-Yes! I need to date a Viking fan!

HOW DO YOU HAVE YOUR HAIR DURING THE WEEK?
-Most times I have on a baseball cap and no mohawk.

WHAT DOES YOUR MOTHER THINK?
-She can't stand it but I think she still loves me. At least she pretends she does.
